Elon Musk sends a Tesla into space. Netflix sends its service into space. That’s nice, but hey, we’re actually more interested in staying grounded here in New Zealand. Here’s why.
2018 seems to be the year of flinging things skyward. New Zealand company Rocket Lab sent a satellite into space. Elon Musk threw a Tesla at Mars. And now Netflix has put an iPhone playing Netflix content 35,000 metres into the air.
Call us old-fashioned, but we’re actually more interested in staying grounded here in New Zealand.
That’s not a lack of ambition, or technical ability. (Admittedly, we haven’t tried to send something into orbit, but we’re sure we could cobble something together.) It’s just that we know staying here in New Zealand is what’s best for our clients.
Many IT companies outsource their support overseas. We don’t.
When you need help from us, you’ll be talking to someone here in our Christchurch, Auckland, or Dunedin offices. They’re familiar with your business, and what it’s like to do business in New Zealand. They can even look out the window and talk about the weather with you, which we know is something we all love to do.
Many IT companies keep customer data in overseas data centres. We don’t.
A lot of cloud providers – even those which claim to be New Zealand-based – keep your data on vast overseas server farms. That means your data is subject to the laws of those countries, which might not provide the level of protection and privacy you need.
But we don’t. All your data and files are kept right here in our New Zealand data centres. We know that it’s best for you, and best for your customers. So why would we offer anything else?
Many IT companies let themselves be influenced by the big overseas megacorporations. We don’t.
We’re independent. Fiercely independent. And we’re proud of it.
We don’t endorse any one solution or product for every customer. We find the right solution or product for you. You can be confident that you’re getting what’ll give you the best result, not what brings us the biggest benefit.
That doesn’t mean we don’t have great relationships with those vendors, though. We do. And they know they have to work that much harder to meet the standard we set for our customers’ systems.
Those are all pretty good reasons for us to stay grounded here in New Zealand, right?
Seems like a pretty good reason for you to join us, too.
