Bits and bytes

Shannon Beynon

In case you hadn’t noticed, IT guys can be a little shy. So I’m giving some of ours a wee nudge into the spotlight they so richly deserve.

It gives me great delight to introduce our team of Great Southern Men - the fellows who keep the Dunedin region plugged in and running.

GREAT SOUTHERN MEN

GregSounessNovember18.jpg

Greg

Systems Architect

Greg Souness has been with CommArc for 8 years. Greg is a Dunedin lad born and raised, and he loves overseas travel - the warmer the destination the better! When he’s not designing systems and making things work, he’s mad keen on live music and playing games, either on the PC or board games with friends.

MarcusNovember.jpg

Marcus

Consultant

Marcus Keenan moved to Dunedin at the start of last year and has been with CommArc for just over 12 months. Marcus is a fan of wide open spaces, loves tramping and a good road trip, and plans to bike the Old Ghost Road to tick it off his bucket list.

Josh

Service Desk Engineer

Josh McDougall has been with CommArc for almost a year and is a mad video gamer. Motorbikes are his passion but he’s parking up the wheels and planning a 10-day walking trip up the West Coast in December. You’ll know him by his southern “Rs”.

TomGNovember.jpg

Tom

Business Development Manager

Tom Gallant has been with CommArc for more than eight-and-a-half years and leads CommArcs commercial team as well as providing account management services to our clients in the Dunedin region.  Away from work, Tom likes to travel overseas and mix a few cocktails.

NOTABLES

We’re hiring a new Service Desk Engineer. You can find the job description and application process at seek.co.nz. And we’re mixing it up a bit this time around with an open evening for our candidates in our Christchurch office on November 22. If you or someone you know is keen, please join us.

Welcome to two new clients:

  • Barr Burgess & Stewart

  • Utilities Infrastructure

Phi’s latest thought piece is now available. He talks about Microsoft licensing, and whether there are alternatives. The good news is, there are. The great news is, we can help you find them. If you’re not getting our Quickbytes but would like to receive them, let us know.

SHARING THE LOVE

Sharing the Love

We’re going to be sharing some of our favourite Christmas recipes in upcoming newsletters. Keep an eye out and prepare to be tempted, inspired and hungry!

“It is great to be surrounded by a supportive team with a wide breadth and depth of technical knowledge.”

Ella Kanaris, CommArc Service Desk Manager
